The length of the Zieman 2660 Equipment Trailer is 33 feet 1 inch. Which includes the end of the ramps.

 

Zieman uses quality products, especially for their industrial equipment trailers. Some of their materials include a Douglas Fir wooden deck. The firs are cut in 2 x 12” pieces.

 

Brakes:

 

The Zieman 2660 series has two options that fit well for a heavy equipment contractors needs. One option is to go for electric brakes. They have 12-1/4” x 3-1/2” drum brakes.

 

Air brakes. Electric brakes may not be desired for a heavy equipment operator. Zieman will build the 2660 with air brakes. Air brakes provide a great deal of durability and robustness. The electrical connection is 6 – way , while the air brake Zieman has a 7 –way connection.

 

The Air brake trailers have good safety features especially when disconnected, the Zieman automatically brakes. However if one would like to move the equipment trailer without having the heavy equipment trailer connected to a truck, a person could simply twist a wing nut on the air tanks underneath the trailer to ease the pressure on the safety breakes, thus causing the trailer to move freely.

 

Another great feature of the Zieman 2660 beavertail is the sunken rear pit in the back of the equipment trailer for a backhoe bucket. This provides a great convenience because this enables the trailer to meet bridge heights when necessary, and this helps an operator quickly load the trailer. The equipment trailer height is 31 ¾”.

 

 

Another great feature of the Zieman sunken bucket holder is that the heavy equipment operator can place an extra bucket in the holding area. Another great feature of the Zieman 2660 is the cavity underneath the trailer. This area allows the trailer to hold miscellaneous items like pipes.
